1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Promptly, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the bot.

2. Bot Usage

• Manage prompts and interact with OpenAI/ChatGPT using /chat, /setprompt, /setkey, /deleteprompt, /deletekey, /help, and /how-to-use.
• Users must securely store their OpenAI API keys and any personal data they provide.

3. Account Data

• User data is encrypted and stored per-user.
• Users may delete their own data at any time using bot commands.
• No guarantee of continuous access outside normal functionality.

4. Secrets Management & Lifecycle

• OpenAI API keys provided to the bot are encrypted and tied to your Discord account.
• The bot may monitor keys for inactivity and send automated reminders if a key has not been used for a period of time (e.g., 30 days).
• Users are encouraged to rotate or update their keys regularly; keys can be deleted or updated anytime using /deletekey or /setkey.
• This process ensures inactive or stale keys do not remain unnecessarily in storage, improving security.
• The bot does not share your keys with any party except OpenAI to process your requests.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Do not store, share, or transmit illegal, abusive, or harmful content.
• Do not bypass security measures or disrupt the bot’s service.

6. Availability

• Promptly runs on Pella with persistent storage but may experience occasional downtime.
• No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service.

7. Liability

• Use is at your own risk.
• The developer is not liable for loss or damage from bot usage.

8. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
